Welcome to my efolio! As a public health professional, I have extensive experience in maternal and child health as both an educator, advocate and as a program planner. For the last 10 years, I have coordinated the maternal and child health programs of the Women’s Health Resource Center, a program of the UCSF National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health. This involves working closely with a diverse patient population, educators and providers to ensure classes not only offer up to date medical information but also meet client’s expectations and needs.
During my studies at the Master in Public Health (MPH) Program at San Francisco State University (SFSU), I had the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone of women’s health and gain exposure to different public health arenas. My academic course work coupled with working on multiple levels of chronic disease prevention and management has not only expanded my knowledge base, but helped hone my writing, research, evaluation and program planning skills. Most importantly during my time at SFSU, I had the opportunity to work in a group of peers who have both similar and diverse experiences and perspectives which has fully enriched every aspect of the program.
This portfolio is designed to demonstrate my academic accomplishments during the MPH program. I hope to provide you with a sense the skills and interests I’ve refined during my studies.
I hope you enjoy exploring my portfolio and learning more about my work. Please feel free to contact me with any questions that may arise.
